Your Weekly Update from Diana Pullen

Week of April 30, 2026 | Redmond, Oregon Real Estate & Community

Hey friends,

Well, May snuck up on us... and honestly, I'm not mad about it. This week in Redmond is one of those weeks where the community calendar is so full it almost feels like a festival. Farmer's Market is back, there's a Tulip Festival one block over, the high school is putting on a show, and Little League is in full swing. We are living in it right now.

I've got all of that below, plus your market update and a few things happening in my world this week. Grab a coffee and let's catch up.

‍ ‍Redmond OR Real Estate Market Update | May 2026

‍ ‍What's Happening in the Redmond Housing Market This Week

The median list price in Redmond, OR 97756 is holding steady at $595,000 this week, but there are a few numbers underneath that I think are worth talking about.

Inventory is up to 231 active listings, and the Market Action Index has slipped to 32, down from 34 last month. We're still in slight seller's advantage territory, but the trend is clear: more homes are coming on, and the pace of sales hasn't kept up. The index has been drifting lower for several weeks now.

Here's what that means in plain terms:

  • Median days on market is 42... but the average is 87. That gap is the whole story. Homes priced right are moving. Homes that started too high are dragging that average up while they sit and wait.

  • 34% of active listings have had a price reduction. That's up from 32% just a week ago. If you're thinking about selling, this is exactly why pricing strategy matters from day one.

  • New listings are coming in at a median of $605,495, slightly above the overall median, which tells me sellers are still coming in optimistic. Some will be right. Some will be back with a price cut in 30 days.

  • Inventory: 231 active listings and growing. Buyers have more to look at than they did 90 days ago.

‍ ‍The takeaway: this is still a reasonable market for well-priced homes in Redmond. But the window for "let's try high and see" is closing. If you're thinking about selling this spring or summer, let's talk sooner rather than later.

What's Happening Around Redmond This Week

Your Redmond Community Events Guide: May 1-11, 2026

This week is a good one. Here's what's going on around town:

Farmer's Market is Back, AND There's a Tulip Festival

This Friday, two things are happening at the same time just one block apart in downtown Redmond, and honestly it's the most "welcome to spring" moment this town could have pulled off.

The Redmond Farmer's Market is back at Centennial Park every Friday from 3-7pm. Fresh vegetables, locally raised meats, honey, handmade goods, bread, art, jewelry... the whole thing. There's a Kids Corner with a play farmer's market stand, coloring books, and a bounce house, and live music from Joyful Lane while you shop. It's the perfect Friday afternoon.

And at the exact same time, just one block over at 231 SW 6th St, High Desert Florals is hosting Redmond's 1st Annual Tulip Festival from 3-7pm. Locally grown tulips from Windy Ridge Farms, hand-wrapped bouquets, complimentary refreshments, and Mother's Day pre-book specials. It's a garden party vibe and it sounds absolutely lovely.

Do both. You have four hours and they're a block apart. You're welcome.

Into the Woods Jr.: Redmond High Theatre

Redmond High Theatre is performing Into the Woods Jr. this weekend and my son's first grade class is going tomorrow for a field trip, which I think is just the best thing. Classic storybook worlds, a witch's curse, unforgettable songs... it's the kind of show that's fun for literally every age.

•      Tonight, Thursday April 30: 7pm

•      Friday May 1: 7pm

•      Saturday May 2: 2pm and 7pm

Redmond High School Auditorium, 675 SW Rimrock Way. Get tickets online before you go.

A Few More Things Worth Knowing This Week

Puzzle Swap at the Library: This Saturday at the Redmond Library (827 SW Deschutes Ave). Bring a gently used puzzle, take home a new-to-you one. All ages, no missing pieces please. Free and fun.

Kentucky Derby Party at Bottom's Up Saloon: This Sunday! Dress to impress, bigger hat the better. Food and drink specials all day for the Run of the Roses. A great excuse to wear something ridiculous.

Journal Club at SCP Hotel: Sunday and Tuesday mornings 10:30-11:30am in the Wayfarer Club. Our own Sisterhood member Kerri Mauer hosts this inclusive group: 30 minutes of silent writing, 30 minutes of connecting over coffee. You don't have to be a "writer" to come.

Mother's Day Mini Sessions with Jordyn Kastelic

Mother's Day is May 10th and my friend Jordyn Kastelic is doing Mom & Me photo sessions and I genuinely can't recommend her enough. She's done our family photos and she is so good: great communication, puts everyone at ease, and the galleries she delivers are beautiful. She's only charging $125 for a full gallery, which is honestly such a good deal for the quality you get.

Space is limited so don't wait on this one. Register at jnk-photography.com.

From My Week

What I'm Up to in Redmond This Week

In case you want to catch me out in the wild... here's where I'll be:

  • Saturday morning: Little League game at Bowlby Park bright and early, then I'll be working the concession stand at Umatilla Sports Complex until about 2pm. Come say hi if you're around! I'll be the one covered in ketchup and smiling anyway.

  • Tuesday: Heading to Prineville for an MLS broker tour with a colleague. Some great homes in the lineup.

  • Wednesday: Redmond Broker Tour through North Redmond and Terrebonne. Really solid homes this week, ranging from $424K to $899K. If you're curious about anything in that area, I'll have eyes on it.

  • Thursday: Sisterhood book club! We're discussing The Horse Whisperer. First Thursday of every month if you want to join us.

  • Friday May 8: I'll be at the 1st Annual Pickleball for Scholars fundraiser hosted by the Cascade East Association of Realtors. We're playing to raise scholarship money for Redmond seniors graduating in 2027. My partner Emily and I will be there having a great time and probably losing terribly. There's still time to sign up: teams of 2 for $100, single player $50, or come as a non-player supporter for $20. Lunch, cocktails, raffles, and professional photos included. Contact The Premier Pickleball Club at (541) 526-8388 or the-ppc.com.

Sisterhood of Redmond

Sisterhood of Redmond: What's Coming Up

A few things on the Sisterhood calendar if you're part of our group or curious about joining:

•      Pickleball: Friday mornings at 9am, Sam Johnson Park back courts. Beginner friendly, always. Note: park by the main lot and walk behind the basketball hoops through the construction gate to reach us.

•      Book Club: This Thursday, May 7th, discussing The Horse Whisperer. First Thursday of every month.

•      Game Night: Friday May 16th, location TBD. We need RSVPs before we lock down the details so let me know if you're in!

That's a lot happening in one little city, isn't it? This is why I love it here.
